Service History

Ernest Ager enlisted with the Royal Naval Air Service on 15/6/1916 and transferred to the RAF on its formation in 1918. His previous occupation was shown as motor driver.
There is no record of his release from service and his name appears on the small supplementary panel on the west face of the Dawlish War Memorial.

Association with Dawlish

Ernest Ager was born in 1880 at Roxwell, Essex. He married Jessie Dunkley in Q4, 1912 at St George's, Hanover Square, London.

His death is recorded on the National Probate Calendar as occurring at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. Ernest Ager is stated to be a chauffeur living at 16 Hatcher Street, Dawlish.
